Overview

The aim of this course is to enable learners to recognise an anaphylaxis reaction and the instigation of emergency treatment.

Course Contents

• Understand anaphylaxis and the associated implications
• Discuss the most common causes of anaphylaxis such as food products.
• Understand how to implement a person-centred approach when supporting individuals with anaphylaxis
• Understand the Policy & Procedures relating to the administration of emergency medication including the Clinical Guidance from NICE
• Understand the importance of monitoring a person suffering an emergency allergic reaction
