Overview

This training provides a basic foundation of first aid knowledge, and enables successful candidates to perform the duties of a nominated person, for those who need a basic refresher..

The course is not accredited and is suitable only where a First Aid Needs Assessment suggests a basic level of cover. This will usually apply to low hazard workplaces with a small staff.

This course can include AED and Defibrillator training.

Course Contents

• Understand the principles of first aid
• Appreciate the duties of a nominated person
• Be able to assess casualties
• Offer emergency aid (CPR, Bleeding, Burns and Choking)
