Overview

The virtual safeguarding course will be led by an approved Health & Social Care Trainer discussing the impact of Covid – 19 outbreak for the people we care for, leading discussions around isolation and promoting wellbeing and good mental health. There will be an opportunity to answer questions. A competency assessment will be required to be completed and then given to employers for their records.

  • To promote and embed the approach to safeguarding
  • To identify and define abuse
  • To recognise indicators of abuse
  • For staff to understand their role and their responsibilities in the safeguarding process
  • To know how to report a concern or disclosure of abuse
  • To understand the role and responsibilities of other agencies in the protection of adults and children
  • To have an awareness of safe working practises
