Overview

The virtual safeguarding course will ensure learners are provided with the knowledge and skills they need to safeguard children. It describes the common types of abuse, how to recognise them, and how to respond to concerns. It also explains how to correctly report concerns.

We will also be discussing the impact of Covid – 19 outbreak for the children and young people we care for, leading discussions around isolation and promoting wellbeing and good mental health. There will be an opportunity to answer questions. A competency assessment will be required to be completed and then given to employers for their records.
