Though not necessary to the industry anymore, virtual training is still a valuable tool to deliver training when needed, from far and wide, with more range in flexibility. One Care Package aimed to complete their Essential Training, through endorsed providers and quality checked by Skills for Care,
Whilst in these small packages it is harder to gather the carers together to complete essential training for their client, Megan Twemlow, it was easier to gather them all at the resident of the package, and make a virtual call with our trainer, Annette. That way, they were all there if Megan needed extra assistance, and they were in a location they knew well and felt comfortable in, making the training even easier.
A benefit of the virtual training is the flexibility in starting the day, with our trainer and their learners being able to dive right in, and take breaks when needed as well, all without worrying on if people are running late or lost whilst looking for the venue. The virtual training is also adapted to be easily accessible for all delegates as well, with the course content simple in design, and perfect for following along with no matter the location.
Working with quality assurer Skills for Care as an endorsed provider, JD Training provided the following to the Twemlow Package:
With these courses, not only did the carers have access to resources such as PowerPoints and videos, they also had a direct line to Annette, whose career and knowledge in these subjects spans over 30 years.
Once they completed their course, they have been granted certificates for each subject, just like they would from being with us in person. With glowing reviews and feeling confident in their knowledge, virtual training is definitely a route they'd go down again!

Definitely the best of both worlds in terms of e-learning and in-person training! We were glad to be at our own place of work, and it was like Annette was in the room with us the entire time! Rosie
